Progression

Progression, it's more than just a program name to us, it's at the heart of everything we do.  We believe that through continuously progressive sessions, gradual integration of club level skills and the highest quality of coaching, we provide the optimum environment for young swimmers to develop.

Minimum requirements for Progression:

  • 25m Front crawl with a good attempt at rotation and high elbow.

  • 25m Back crawl with a good attempt at rotation ensuring the arm action is correct.

  • 15m Breaststroke with a good attempt at sweeping wide at the front of the stroke.

  • 10-15m Butterfly Kick on front and back.

  • Kneeling Dives from poolside.

  • Perform at summersault.

Progression

Progression Program | What's it all about

Our 'Progression Program' has three distinctive 'Stages'.  As the stages progress, the complexity of each skill gradually increases, resulting in a highly skilled, technically accomplished swimmer graduating at the end of their journey with us.

Duration: 30 - 45 minute classes

Class sizes: 6 swimmers

Staffing: 2 lead teachers plus an assistant

Our teachers are happy to enter the water whenever stroke manipulation is required to ensure the correct body position and stroke mechanics are achieved. 

The following slides will explain the learning outcomes for each 'stage' in the program.
